Mud daubers have a distinctive appearance due to their extremely thin waists. They build small, tube-shaped nests from mud, usually attaching the nests underneath eaves or other elevated structures. Mud daubers are not aggressive and rarely sting. They are solitary insects, unlike many other wasps.
