Pharaoh Ant

With their exceptionally thin waist, pharaoh ants somewhat resemble wasps without wings. They are tiny, light brown insects that prefer warm, moist nest sites. Unlike most other ants, a single colony can contain multiple queens. When disturbed, pharaoh ant colonies often split apart, with each queen and her followers starting a new colony. This makes them difficult to eradicate without the use of bait.
